Message to our customers and community members about covid 19

We want to assure all our customers and our fellow Twin Citians that we at Shelter Construction LLC are implementing all CDC and Minnesota Department of Health recommended guidelines, to keep our customers, our staff, our field representatives, and our crews safe and healthy.

During this challenging period, we will continue to work with customers, insurance providers, vendors, and construction professionals to address our customers’ needs in a timely manner. We know restoring your storm-damaged property is not an “optional” item, maybe even less so during a time of uncertainty.

As we begin our exterior construction season, you can be assured that we are using these recommended practices on ALL job sites and in all customer interactions. We sincerely enjoy spending face time with our customers, and we hope you do, too, but we understand and respect the larger needs of the moment. Therefore, we will continue to explore safe and effective ways to interact with our customers as this situation evolves. As a modern construction business, we already conduct a significant part of our customer relationships electronically, but we are ramping up our efforts. Here’s what we want you to know right now:

INSPECTIONS:

We will continue to schedule free 20-minute exterior inspections. At the time your inspection is scheduled, you’ll be asked your preference regarding interaction. If you prefer, your initial property inspection can be executed without social interaction, and a detailed report of findings, photos, and recommendations will be sent to you electronically within 24 hours.

INSURANCE ADJUSTMENTS:

We will continue to attend insurance adjustments after you file a claim, coordinating our response with the insurance adjuster to meet your interaction preferences.

FINALIZING YOUR CONTRACT:

When your claim is approved, phone consultation, 3-D modeling, and electronic document exchange to finalize your contract and schedule your build is available and already a regular part of most of our customer interactions.

BUILD DAYS:

Even though our work typically takes place exclusively on the exterior of your home, all our project managers, our crews, and our vendors will be implementing CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines and taking extra precautions with job site interaction and job clean up.

We know this is a difficult time. As a local company, this community means everything to us. We hope we all look back on this and are proud of how we in the Twin Cities handled ourselves—together—during this crisis.
